Confession

In this step, rid yourself of sinful nature and take on the nature of Christ. Tell Him where you have fallen short. Be specific.

Seek His forgiveness

  1. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”1 John 1:9

  2. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2

  3. “And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the Lord, I havesinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, OLord, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.”2 Samuel 24:10

Know He will forgive you for all your sins

  1. “Because of his love God had already decided that through Jesus Christ he would make us his sons and daughters—this was his pleasure and purpose. Let us praise God for his glorious grace, for the free gift he gave us in his dear Son! For by the blood of Christ we are set free, that is, our sins are forgiven. How great is the grace of God, which he gave to us in such large measure!"Ephesians 1:4-8

  2. “The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt withus after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:8-12

  3. “Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. If thou,Lord, shouldest markiniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.” Psalm 130:1-4
